Fiver Rivers Auto Club hosts donation event ahead of holidays
Pocahontas, Arkansas – On Saturday morning in Pocahontas, the Five Rivers Auto Club in Randolph County threw a food and toy drive. Every donation was made to charities and food banks in the area.
The car club organizes a similar fundraising event for several causes every year. There was a vehicle display, complimentary photos, and an opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Clause.
Mickey Tyler is the president of the car club, and Kat Medlock serves as secretary and treasurer. The two stated that supporting their community means the world to them.
“There are so many needy families, we just try to do what we can to help them,” Tyler said.
“You see the people every day that are in need. It just warms my heart, I just love helping people,” Medlock added.
Don’t worry if you were unable to donate; there is still time to make a difference. Contact Medlock at 870-202-3050 for details on how to make a donation.
