Saline County’s Interstate 30 will be closed while ARDOT gets ready for larger lanes
Little Rock, Arkansas – Saline County’s Interstate 30 may see lane and ramp restrictions, informing drivers in Arkansas.
Closures are predicted to occur from Wednesday night through Saturday morning, lasting from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Traffic heading west between Exits 114 and 111 will be detoured to facilitate the removal of overhead sign structures by work personnel.
For the same reason, the ramp leading eastward from exit 116 (Sevier and South) will be closed. This diversion can be used by drivers to avoid construction:
– East on I-30 to Exit 117 (Highway 5/35)
– Cross the overpass
– West on I-30 to Exit 116 to return to South Street
During this time, crews will manage traffic using signs, barrels, barricades, message boards, and slow-rolling cars.
It is urged that drivers in these locations stay alert for slower-moving traffic.
The wider plan by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) to extend Interstate 30 to six lanes includes this construction.
