Police officer from Paragould receives Life Saving Award
Paragould, Arkansas – A Paragould policeman is receiving recognition for his efforts to save lives.
A social media post claims that Sergeant Jeff Shirley rescued a man who was in his garage with his car running, gearbox engaged, and foot jammed in the accelerator.
According to the post, the car was leaning against the wall of the garage, its tires spinning, and smoke and flames were shooting out of it, filling the garage with smoke.
After smashing the automobile window, Shirley was able to switch off the engine, get the man out of the vehicle, and help him.
