Increased burglaries in Craighead County

Jonesboro, Arkansas – The county of Craighead is seeing an increase in break-ins.
According to the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office, there have been more car break-ins this year, as of Tuesday.
Deputies have responded to five residential and commercial burglaries in the last week alone.
“People are just stealing anything that is nailed down or not nailed down,” said Patrol Captain Jason Allen.
Allen stated that given the impending holiday season, the department anticipates things to become worse before they get better.
