City in Arkansas chosen to be one of Southern Living’s Cutest Christmas Towns

Little Rock, Arkansas – One Arkansas city is celebrating this week after being chosen as one of the “Cutest Christmas Towns” for Southern Living’s next issue.
The Searcy Holiday of Lights Committee announced that they will be highlighted in the holiday issue of the lifestyle magazine in 2024.
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Southern Living to our beloved Searcy Holiday of Lights,” Committee Chair Tonia Hale said in a news release. “Our event has always been about creating magical moments for families and friends, and having Southern Living recognize and celebrate our efforts on a national level is truly an honor.”
According to the committee, Searcy sees an increase in visitors during each holiday season as a result of the displays and events.
According to the organizers, a variety of activities, carriage rides around the old city center, a Christmas display replica of the White County Courthouse, and festivities take place every weekend surrounding the lighted attractions.
The Living Nativity is reportedly one of the biggest draws. It is touted as a realistic drive-through reproduction of Bethlehem that portrays the birth of Jesus using actors and genuine animals.
Searcy has a long-standing tradition of coming together to turn our city into a Christmas wonderland,” said Mayor Mat Faulkner. “Being featured in Southern Living is a testament to the dedication and creativity of our community. We are excited to showcase our unique attractions, from the captivating light displays and carriage rides to the festive replica of the White County Courthouse.”
This December, the city anticipates being lit up for everyone to enjoy.
